Ashbourne R135 Ashbourne Main Street

Meath County Council have delivered 3km of continuous Active Travel infrastructure along the R135 Ashbourne Main Street, from the Pillo Hotel Roundabout to the Alderbrook junction south of Ashbourne town center. 1.2km of Active Travel infrastructure has also been delivered along the Milltown Road which seamlessly connects to the Active Travel infrastructure on the R135 Main Street.

A review of the Laytown and Bettystown Walking and Cycling Network Study. The study identified 14 primary and secondary routes along with a number of feeder routes, identified a preferred option along those routes and proposed a phasing plan for implementing the schemes.

Meath County Council has recently appointed Glas Civil Engineering Limited, for the construction of the Martha's Bridge to Circular Road Cycle and Pedestrian Scheme, which is part of the proposed Navan Town Cycle Network and is being funded by the National Transport Authority.
