County-wide

Meath County Council Cathaoirleach Cllr. Nick Killian officially launches this year’s Children’s Book Festival at Ashbourne library with the Children’s Book Festival Co-ordinators, Eve Morrisson and Mary Murphy.

The Library Service is delighted to host this year’s Festival in our libraries once again. We are however, still offering some schools the chance to Zoom in to some of the events and with pre-recorded events also available, the festival is accessible to all!

This year’s super line up includes Marita Conlon-McKenna, Alex Barclay, Claire Freedman, Manchán Magan and the duo of Dave Rudden and Graham Tugwell in the Solstice Theatre bringing classes on an interactive storytelling show with dungeons full of monsters, magic treasure and a host of other dangers! Other not so scary events are storytelling, illustration workshops, music events, other author visits and creative writing events.

The festival will take place across Meath for three weeks commencing on Wednesday, October 5 until Wednesday, October 26. We can’t wait to see everyone back in our libraries again.
