Navan Town Scheme (Navan 2030) –Traffic Management Notice
Meath County Council wishes to advise of the following traffic management changes to occur at the junction of the N51 and the R161, at Moathill as part of the current upgrade works in the town.
Wednesday 15th of February 2023 for ten Weeks – Please see Map 1 below
A one-way system will be introduced and will remain in operation for a period of ten weeks, from the junction of the N51 and the R161 at Moathill, Navan. Vehicular traffic will only be permitted to travel in an eastbound direction from the N51, towards the town centre. Traffic will not be able to access the N51 from the R161 in a westbound direction.
Access to Our Lady’s Hospital, St Patricks Classical School, Moathill Manor and the HSE Beaufort House facility will be maintained from either direction during the lane closure.
All traffic exiting Our Lady’s Hospital, St Patricks Classical School, Moathill Manor and the HSE Beaufort House facility will be directed eastwards towards the junction of Brews Hill/Commons Road/Boreen Keel, where diversion route signage will be in place for traffic wishing to travel towards the N51 at Moathill.

A diversion route will be in place and directional signage erected. Local access will be maintained, but residents may experience some minor delays. Meath County Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience, and thanks you for your cooperation and patience while these important works are being implemented to improve our Town.
