Temporary Closure of Convent Road (L-34002-0), Navan, Co. Meath
Meath County Council has made an order to close part of Convent Road (L-34002-0) in Navan, Co. Meath, from its junction with the R153, Kentstown Road in the Townland of Athlumney, in Navan, County Meath for a distance of approximately 600m east from said junction, to facilitate construction works associated with a trial cycle and pedestrian filtered permeability scheme on Convent Road.
*UPDATE - Works will now commence on Monday, 13th September 2021*
- Closure will be from 7.00am on Monday, 13th September 2021 until 7.00pm on Friday, 8th October 2021.
Eastbound from Navan on R153, Kentstown Road
- Traffic is to be diverted east on the Kentstown Road (R-153) from the junction with Convent Road (L-34002-0) for a distance of approximately 830m to the junction with Athlumney Castle/The Orchard Estates.
- At this junction, traffic shall turn right to access Athlumney Castle and The Orchard Estates
- Continue in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 500m to the location of the end of the proposed road closure.
- Diversion ends.
Diversion signs will be in place. Local access for residents, businesses and educational institutions shall be accommodated.
Pedestrians will be facilitated with access throughout the closure period.
