Temporary Closure of L1610 Abbey Road, Duleek, Co Meath

Meath County Council has made an order to close the L1610 Abbey Road, Duleek, Co Meath from its junction with L1004 Boolies to its junction with N2 Balrath Cross.

The closure will be from 6am on 1 May 2024 to 8pm on 21 August 2024 for 24 hrs per day.

This road closure is required to facilitate the installation of new infrastructure (Duleek to Navan Trunk Main Pipeline Project) on behalf of Uisce Éireann.

Alternative Routes

Eastbound

• At N2/L1610 junction at Balrath Cross, take N2 northbound to its junction with R150, turn right onto R150 and continue eastbound on R150 to its junction with L1610 in Duleek, turn right onto L1610 and continue westbound to its junction with L1004 at Boolies. 

Westbound

• At the L1610/L1004 junction at Boolies, take L1610 eastbound to its junction with R150 in Duleek, turn left onto R150 and continue westbound on R150 to its junction with N2, turn left onto N2 and continue southbound on N2 to its junction with L1610 at Balrath Cross.

Diversion and information signage will be in place.

Access for residents and property holders will be facilitated throughout the closure period.
