Motor Tax

The Motor Taxation Public Counter Service (in Buvinda House) is open from Tuesday, 3rd August 2021 from 9.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).

Please note that in order to comply with public health guidance, a number of measures such as restricting the number of customers who may enter the building at any one time will be in operation. There will be a limited number of public counter windows open (maximum 2) in order to ensure our staff can comply with social distancing measures. Please be aware that if you choose to avail of the public counter service you may experience longer than normal queuing time and we thank you in advance for your cooperation in assisting with these arrangements.

To avoid delays in service we strongly advise customers to continue to renew your motor tax online at www.motortax.ie (the PIN is the last 6 digits of the serial number on the front page the Vehicle Registration Certificate - VRC).

Customers who have not got access to their VRC, do not have their reminder or have lost their reminder can go online and use the Pin Retrieval Service
