Arts Funding

Funding arts activities and development is a key strategic objective of Meath County Council Arts Office.

To help maximise the potential for arts provision in the county, Meath County Council Arts Office operates annual bursary and award schemes.

Through these schemes, funding opportunities exist for creative organisations, arts practitioners and groups working with the arts.

There are 6 individual funding strands aimed at supporting a diverse range of arts activities throughout county Meath. 


As these forms differ from previous years and are interactive, you may follow the instructions below in order to complete them

  5. Sign the completed application form
  6. Post the completed, signed application form with accompanying support material.

The following bursaries and awards are available:

Meath County Council Annual Arts Grant Scheme

This award is intended to support local arts activities and to enhance long-term development and sustainability of the arts in County Meath.

Professional Artists Development Fund

This scheme is intended to support professional arts practitioners in County Meath in the delivery of their work and in particular the development of new works.

Festival Grant Scheme

This award is intended to support those arts festivals taking place in County Meath which demonstrate a commitment to quality artistic programming.

Meath County Council Community Arts Award

This award is open to community groups, community organisations and schools. It aims to support groups in relation to funding for quality community collaborative arts projects that promote access and participation in the Arts by working with professional artists.

Schools Musical Instrument Purchase Scheme

This award aims to help develop the musical instrument resources of both primary and secondary schools in County Meath.

Tyrone Guthrie Centre Regional Bursary Award

This award is open to professional artists of all disciplines and entitles the successful applicant to a residency in the Tyrone Guthrie Centre.
