Are you looking for a job or a career change? Are you thinking of starting your own business?

The Work Matters service at your library is a perfect place to explore, research and learn new skills.

We have a broad collection of resources relating to job seeking and employment including how to build a CV and interview skills, as well as daily newspapers, PCs and online access to help you search for employment opportunities and prepare your application. If you have any query, members of the library staff are on hand to help.

This service is available in all of our branches.

  • eLearning Courses 
    Do you want to learn new skills but don’t have time to attend a course? Why not take a self-paced, online course at a time that is most convenient to you? You can access over 400 online courses through Universal Class covering a huge range of subjects from career training, writing skills and health to entrepreneurship, office skills, web development, much more. Library members can register with Universal Class and start a course within minutes. When you have completed a course you will receive a certificate providing documented evidence of your learning so you can put it on your CV.

Login to Proquest using your library card number and choose from over 900 newspaper titles.
