Music and Healthcare Programme

Meath County Council Arts Office in partnership with Kids’ Classics and Create Louth present the ‘Training Notes’ programme. Training Notes offers professional up-skilling for musicians who wish to develop Music in Healthcare settings. The aim of Training Notes is for musicians to develop an understanding of the role and appropriate placement of music in a healthcare setting. It explores the skill sets and best practice methods necessary to deliver quality music interactions in hospitals and nursing homes. During the course, musicians also receive practical, fully supervised musical placements in local healthcare settings in Meath.

The training is delivered by Grainne Hope (Kids’Classics) and Liam Merriman (Waterford Healing Trust), both qualified trainers with national and international hospital and healthcare experience.
