Community Involvement Scheme for Public Road Improvements

Community Involvement Scheme for Public Road Improvements

The Community Involvement Scheme (CIS) is an opportunity for communities to have road repair work carried out at relatively modest cost on local roads and cul-de-sacs that would not normally be included on the Council’s main roadworks programme.

Funding from the Department of Transport (DoT) can be provided to the Council.

Local communities can request that road improvement works are carried out by completing the application form: from time to time applications will be invited and notification of this will be published in the local newspaper.

The Council is keen to continue working with groups of local residents and landowners and avail of the CIS funding from the DoT for the restoration of local roads and cul-de-sacs, subject to approval and funding.

Please contact our Transport Department with any queries.
