EPA Waste Water Discharge Licences/ Waste Water Treatment Plants
All discharges to the aquatic environment from sewerage systems owned, managed and operated by water service authorities require a waste water discharge licence or certificate of authorisation from the Environmental Protection Agency.
There are approximately 40 waste water treatment plants in County Meath.
- 33 plants are operated by Meath County Council on behalf of Uisce Éireann
- 7 plants are operated by EPS Ireland on behalf of Uisce Éireann
