Long Term Leasing Scheme

Under the Long Term Leasing Scheme properties are leased from private landlords and used to accommodate households from the housing waiting list.

Who can Apply?

You must be a qualified housing applicant(s) before you can apply for accommodation on the long term leasing scheme. Find out more about applying for housing and becoming a qualified applicant.

Provides you with long-term housing security
Rent is paid directly to Meath Council rather than the Landlord and can be facilitated by standing order or budget deduction from a social welfare payment.
Rents are calculated on the same basis as tenants of Meath County Council.
