Children, Teenagers, Technology and the Online World with Dr David Coleman - A Skills for Life Event

Tuesday, 18th September at 7.00 p.m.

Children have access to vast amounts of technology and many of their devices will allow them to connect straight to the Internet. In some ways these are beneficial advances, but there is growing evidence from research that too much exposure to technology is very bad for children's and teenagers' emotional and psychological development.

In this presentation David will look at the impact that technology and the Internet are having on children and teenagers and how you can talk to them about the ups and the downs of what they encounter online.

David will deliver the talk with his usual blend of expertise and humour. He will discuss a range of practical tips for some of the healthier habits parents might want to establish regarding technology use. There will also be time for an open forum Q&A at the end.
