Housing Development at Woodview Heights Dunboyne - Section 179A Notice

Meath County Council gives notice of its intention to commence a Housing Development, as defined under section 179A of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 – 2022, on lands at No. 10 Woodview Heights, Dunboyne, Co. Meath.

In accordance with the above legislation, Meath County Council gives notice of its intention to commence a Housing Development, as defined under section 179A of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 – 2022, on lands at No. 10 Woodview Heights, Dunboyne, Co. Meath.

The development will consist of the following: 

  • sub-division of existing 5-bedroom house to provide 2 no. dwellings comprising a 2-bed unit and 3-bed unit;
  • internal and external alterations and modifications to existing building unit;
  • new ground floor level extensions to the front and rear elevations of existing building unit;
  • revisions to existing site entrance to create separate vehicular entrances to serve both the proposed and existing dwelling;
  • connection to public sewers and mains water supply; 
  • landscaping and boundary treatments; and,
  • all ancillary site works necessary to facilitate the development.

 The above development has been subject to an Appropriate Assessment screening and a preliminary examination for Environmental Impact Assessment. In accordance with articles 81A(5) and 81A(6) respectively of the Planning & Development Regulations 2001-2023, Meath County Council has concluded that an Appropriate Assessment or Environmental Impact Assessment of the housing development is not required as there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the housing development.

The plans and particulars of the housing development will be available for inspection online from meath.ie website or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during office hours at the offices of the local authority as follows: 

  • Planning Department, Meath County Council, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, C15 Y291; and,
  • Municipal District of Ratoath Office, Drumree Road, Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath.

The plans and particulars of the housing development will be available for inspection on the website of the local authority thereafter as follows:

from 03 April 2024 to 31 May 2024.

This notice informs interested persons and parties of Meath County Council’s intention to commence the proposed development no sooner than the abovementioned date of 31 May 2024. Any person may question the validity of any decision of the planning authority by way of an application for judicial review, under Order 84 of the Rules of the Superior Courts (S.I. NO. 15 of 1986), in accordance with Sections 50 and 50A of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 – 2022.
