Open Call -  Percent for Art Commission, Permanent Visual Artwork from Eureka Secondary School

Budget:   €52,000 

Location: Eureka Secondary School, Navan Rd, Townparks, Kells, Co. Meath, Ireland 

Stage 1:   Briefing Document & Application 

Deadline for Applications: 12 Noon Friday 17th May 2024

Eureka Secondary School is seeking expressions of interest from artists who’s practice focuses on permanent visual artwork(s) to be sited at either the front of their school building or in their inner courtyard or both. 

The creative process should involve some of their 756 students however they cannot facilitate an artist residency. 

The school’s ethos and crest reflects the theme of ‘Truth and Light’ and the artwork(s) should also be welcoming and vibrant. 

Artwork(s) that will embrace Eureka in it’s rich history, location, ethos, geography and culture of it’s present-day school community. 

The Public Art Working Group also require that artworks proposed at Stage 2 be low maintenance, adhere to health and safety standards and will stand the test of time in their relevance and materials.
