Summer Stars 2025: Classic Animation Workshop

Pencil to Movement Classical Animation Workshop
 

Step into the magical world of animation! In this exciting hands-on workshop, children will discover how drawings come to life using the classical animation method. 

Participants will create their own short animated sequence using real animation tools — light boards, a peg bar (reg bar), and punched paper, just like the animators of classic films.

From first sketch to final flip, kids will learn how to make their characters move, blink, bounce, or wave — all with the power of pencil and paper. 

A fantastic blend of art and storytelling, this unique session offers a rare chance to explore the foundations of animation in a fun and creative way.

This workshop is presented by Harry Gill from TinaMation.

Duration: 1 hour

Suitable for children aged 7-12
