Private Regulated Water Supplies

If your water supply is from a private source i.e. borehole or river, and supplies over 50 persons on average or has a commercial or public interest this is deemed a Private Regulated Water Supply.  

Private Water Suppliers are required to produce water that is wholesome and clean and meets the requirements of the 2014 Drinking Water Regulations.

Meath County Council is the supervisory authority for Private Regulated Water Supplies in County Meath and has responsibility for ensuring that Private Regulated Water Suppliers fulfil their duties as specified in the regulations.

All Private Regulated Water Supplies must be registered with Meath County Council.  This can be done by downloading the form below and returning it by email to customerservice@meathcoco.ie or post to Meath County Council, Water Services Department, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co Meath C15 Y291.
