EPA Waste Water Discharge Licences/ Waste Water Treatment Plants

All discharges to the aquatic environment from sewerage systems owned, managed and operated by water service authorities require a waste water discharge licence or certificate of authorisation from the Environmental Protection Agency.

There are approximately 40 waste water treatment plants in County Meath.

  • 33 plants are operated by Meath County Council on behalf of Uisce Éireann
  • 7 plants are operated by EPS Ireland on behalf of Uisce Éireann

Licenses have been granted for the following plants:

C: Donore, Drumconrath, Duleek, Dunderry, Dunshaughlin

E: Enfield,

H: Hill of Tara

K: Kells, Kentstown, Kilberry, Kilcloon, Kildalkey, Kilmainhamwood

L: Lloyd Kells, Lobinstown, Longwood

M: Moynalty

N: Navan, Nobber

O: Oldcastle,

R: Rathmolyan, Robinstown

S: Skreen, Slane, Stamullen, Summerhill
