7. Get Involved - Have your Say!
Have your say about the Kells Public Realm and Regeneration Plan
Meath County Council has appointed BDP to prepare the Public Realm and Regeneration Plan for Kells. The plan will address the issues which are viewed as blockages to the redevelopment and regeneration of the town centre.
The plan will seek to be the catalyst for the revitalisation of the town centre and surrounding areas whilst pursing a continued pattern of development that respects the inherent characteristics of the natural and built environment.
Its objective will be to set out a clear strategy and overall vision for the public realm in the town centre, focused on the enhancement of the social, economic and environmental assets of Kells.
Submissions on these Objectives are invited. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org before 28th February 2023.
Initial public engagement was held in Kells Municipal District Office in October 2022.
• We presented what we are doing and outline objectives, along with everyone’s thoughts on what is good and bad.
• First thoughts and reaction to ideas were tested.
• People’s perception of issues invited and discussed.
An online survey ran from October-November 2022, where many surveys were completed. Online Survey is now closed.
Consultation with 3 local schools took place on 24th November 2022.
This engagement will inform, guide and shape the preparation of the plan.
