VOICE (Voice of Irish Concern for the Environment – Non Govt Organisation involved in many environmentally focused projects across Ireland) has received funding from the EPA to carry out a new project re plastics.

Ultimately what they aim to do is to research how much and what type of plastic is coming into the average household, and what practical steps householders can take (and stick to) in order to reduce it.

They are looking for volunteer households – like you!

The project will take part over a 2 - 3 month basis.

Step 1 - First you sign up, as per their contact details below.

Step 2 is an audit in relation to the plastics coming into your home.  You will be given tools to assist with this.

Step 3 is where households pledge to make changes in order to reduce the volume of plastic they are acquiring.

Step 4 is another audit where you see which changes worked, and what is manageable and practical going forward in terms of reducing plastics.

If you think it is something you might like to be involved with, or if you have any queries in relation to this project, please contact Abi O’Callaghan-Platt at abi@voiceireland.org or see www.voiceireland.org
