Aura Navan wins the 'Outstanding' Facility Award at the National Quality Standard Awards held on Friday, November 8th at the Johnstown Estate, Enfield. Ireland Active, the ‘Leisure, Health & Fitness Industry’ representative body, announced awards for the top Leisure, Fitness and Hotel Leisure facilities across the country on the night.

The Irish fitness industry has grown hugely in recent years and currently has 720 clubs nationwide, generating more than €300 million for the Irish economy each year. The NQS Award is the most sought-after and respected accolade in the leisure and fitness industry and recognises high standards in the areas of safety, hygiene, customer service and human resources.

The ongoing working partnership between Aura Navan and Meath County Council over the past 20 years has been a key driver in achieving the centres success to date. Navan Operations Manger, Shane Smith began his Aura journey in Trim as a Lifeguard and went on to develop his career in a variety of positions across the Aura Holohan Group before taking the lead in the Navan facility.

Chairman of the group, Gar Holohan said, “We are delighted that our ongoing commitment to our facility, member experience and investment in staff training has been recognised again with this prestigious award”.
