Pride of Place- Laytown/Bettystown Municipal District Awards Night

The Laytown-Bettystown Municipal District Pride of Place awards were held in beautiful setting of The Tribe Restaurant, Duleek, Co Meath on Wednesday night, 23rd October 2019.

Chairperson of Laytown-Bettystown Municipal District, Cllr. Sharon Keogan warmly welcomed the guests, which included local Councillors and representatives from 45 local groups. Cllr. Keogan commended those present on the fantastic work and achievements of the voluntary groups, which demonstrates a real pride the people of Laytown-Bettystown Municipal District have in their locality.  She commended Bettystown Tidy Towns on their County endeavour award in the National Tidy Towns competition and Duleek for their award for the Gum Litter Taskforce initiative. 

Director of Services Ms Fiona Lawless thanked the attendees on behalf of Meath County Council for the work that is carried out by the volunteers the Laytown-Bettystown District. She commended their commitment and noted that the Laytown-Bettystown District is a credit to all involved.
