N2 Grange to Clontail Scheme

Meath County Council is working in partnership with WS Atkins consultant Engineers and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) on an upgrade of a 4.8km section of the N52 between the townlands of Grange and Clontail in County Meath.

In August 2022 Meath County Council made an application to An Board Pleanala for confirmation of the Compulsory Purchase Order.

Written submissions were submitted to An Bord Pleanala before the closing date of the 5th of October.

What happens next?

An Bord Pleanála at their discretion may arrange for an oral hearing to be held in respect of the CPO where valid submissions are received.

An Bord Pleanala, will consider the submissions made and the report of the person who conducts the oral hearing, may confirm/approve the CPO with or without modifications or may annul/refuse to approve it.

N51 Dunmoe Phase 2

Work on this project commenced  in Aug 2021 and construction works are progressing well to offline (Green field) sections.   It is anticipated that the project  will be substantially complete by January 2023.   These works are located along the N51 between Navan and Slane and will link the two previously improved sections,  completing the upgrade of the N51 between the two locations from a Road Safety point of view for all road users, as well as benefiting travel times.

 

M3 Transportation Study – Dunboyne & Environs

Towards the end of 2016, Meath County Council commissioned Consultants to complete a transport study for the Dunboyne area.  The transport study looks at current and future issues on the transport network and represents an opportunity for a coordinated approach to planning for improvements and upgrades in this area. The study was completed in 2018 and can be accessed below.
