Community Climate Action Programme Fund 

Administered by Meath County Council on behalf of Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment, the overall aim of the CCAP Strand 1 Programme is to provide finance to community groups interested in undertaking projects which help to build low carbon, sustainable communities.

Phase 2

  1. Due to launch in September 2025
  2. Information Sessions to take place in August 2025 in Meath Libraries
  3. Interested Community Groups can email climateactionmcc@meathcoco.ie with their expresion of interest and project ideas.

Phase 1

Programme Milestones

  1. Applications Opened 6th December 2023. Information sessions and meetings were held with community groups from December 2023 - February 2024.
     
  2. Application Period closed on 28th February 2024 with 64 applications received, Meath County Council evaluation period March to April with 25 projects approved to the total value of €810,908.17.
     
  3. Applicant community groups were notified 10th July with further communications to elected members, queries from unsuccessful applicant groups returned.
     
  4. Signed Memorandum of Understanding(MOU’s), deliverables and milestones returned on 22nd August 2024 with Project start dates 2nd September 2024.
